This course covers working safely in a hyperbaric operation, operating life support equipment as part of a team in a saturation diving operation, performing compression, decompression and therapeutic recompression operations, and working safely in offshore diving operations.
This course results in completion of the following Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification: Certificate IV in Hyperbaric Operations (Saturation system) National Qualification Code: 10133NAT
- Students are required to be a qualified diver or have completed a diver top up module.
- Students are required to hold a Diver Medic Certificate OR a current First Aid Certificate. CPR and Oxygen resuscitation skills are required to be refreshed within 12 months prior to concluding in the course.
The Life Support Technician LST course is a great addition to any commercial divers CV. The course prepares those with the relevant industry experience the ability to work as part of a bell dive team. This course is going to be the best add-on to a Part 3 certificate as it builds upon the skills and knowledge needed to work successfully offshore in the oil and gas industry.
